Membership Info

Types of Membership:

  • Probationary - Temporary membership on your way to becoming a Regular Member.
  • Regular - An individual at least twenty-one years of age and if a driver of a motorcycle, holds a valid motorcycle driver's license. This member will have full voting rights in the club and be able to hold an elected office.
  • Associate - An individual at least twenty-one years of age sponsored by a Regular member in good standing. The Associate member will have no voting rights in the club and will not be able to hold an elected office.

Steps to becoming a REGULAR MEMBER:

  1. Obtain Probationary Membership.
  2. Pass Probation period and meet Regular Membership requirements.

To obtain PROBATIONARY MEMBERSHIP, an individual must:

Secure a Brown Card from the Membership Director. This record will log seven areas of activity before Regular membership will be considered.

  1. Attend a total of four Breakfast and/or Dinner runs.
  2. Attend one non-Cruiser motorcycle event with Cruisers in attendance.
  3. Attend two regular Membership Meetings.
  4. Assist a Chairperson with a Cruiser event.
  5. Attend two additional Cruiser events. (Does not include Breakfast or Dinner Runs)
  6. Speak once at a regular Membership Meeting during Speak-Up (to be completed last).

With the exception of numbers 3, 4, 5 and 6, all attendance must be on a motorcycle. The Brown Card will be carried by the probationary member and signed at each activity by either a member of the Membership Committee, a member of the Executive Board or the Chairperson of the event. A minimum completion time of 90 days from issuance is required. All Brown Cards not completed within 12 months from date of issuance, must be renewed in order to retain probationary status. Probationary members may not purchase or wear attire imprinted with the JPC logo, may not hold elected office and are not eligible to receive Cruiser discounts.


TO OBTAIN REGULAR MEMBERSHIP an individual must:

  1. Complete the probationary membership requirements.
  2. Be twenty-one years of age or older.
  3. If a driver of a motorcycle, hold a valid motorcycle driver's license and be prepared to submit it for inspection to any member of the Membership Committee.
  4. Fulfill all requirements of the Brown Card and submit all required papers to the Membership Director.
  5. Speak once at a regular Membership meeting during Speak-Up (to be completed last).
  6. Purchase an official club vest and name badge.
  7. This member has full voting privileges, is entitled to all discounts rewarded to Regular membership and may hold an elected office as provided in the By-laws.

To obtain ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP:

An individual may become an Associate Member if sponsored by a Regular Member in good standing and brought before the Executive Board at their next regularly scheduled Board meeting with a recommendation from the Membership Committee. Associate membership is granted upon an affirmative two-thirds vote of the Executive Board.

  1. This member must be twenty-one years of age or older.
  2. Must purchase or have purchased an official club vest and name badge.

An Associate member will not be entitled to hold office in any capacity and will not receive discounts rewarded to Regular membership unless approved by the committee of each individual activity in question. This member is not entitled to vote at any regular or special meeting of the organization.
